About Pinelopi Charalampous
Since 2020, Pinelopi has been a valued member of Andreas Demetriades & CO LLC, where her primary focus lies in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Compliance matters. She brings specialized expertise in Immigration and Real Estate transactions to her role.
Pinelopi earned her LLB in Law as a scholarship student at Frederick University of Cyprus. Continuing her academic journey in London, United Kingdom, she obtained an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law from Queen Mary University of London and a Graduate Diploma in General Common Law from BPP University of London. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Law at the University of Central Lancashire, with a specific emphasis on Artificial Intelligence.
As an accredited AML Officer of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, Pinelopi holds several essential certifications in AML and Compliance, including:
- International Postgraduate Diploma in AML from the International Compliance Association
- AML Certificate from the Associate of Governance, Risk, and Compliance of the UK
- Certificate in Financial Crime Prevention from the International Compliance Association
- Certificate in Managing Sanctions Risk from the International Compliance Association
Beyond her legal expertise, Pinelopi is recognized as an accredited Mediator by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London, specializing in International Commercial Arbitration.
