goodbye to annual fees for companies registered in cyprus

No More Yearly Fees For Companies Registered In Cyprus From 2024 and On

The Companies and Intellectual Property Registrar’s Office has announced that as per the recent amendment in the Companies Act, Amendment No. 25(I)/2024, set out in the Republic’s Official Gazette on March 15, 2024, the yearly charge for businesses registered with the Companies Registry Controller is abolished from the year 2024 forward. Nevertheless, the annual fees for the period from 2011 to 2023 will still be payable.

In line with Amendment Act 25(I)/2024, issued on March 15, 2024, companies that have already settled their 2024 annual fee will receive a reimbursement as follows:

a. Refunds for online transactions processed via JCC will be automatically credited back to the originating card without any required action from the payer.

b. For those who paid directly to the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property’s Fund, the refund will be transferred to the payer’s bank account upon submission of the ΚΕ1 form, payment evidence, and a FIMAS payment authorization form, along with a bank account statement copy as specified in the Authorization Form.
