Important Update: Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa

The Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection has issued a significant update on the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa Scheme. If you’re a remote worker already in Cyprus or considering relocating, here’s what you need to know:

Who Can Apply?

Non-EU/EEA nationals who:

Can perform work remotely through telecommunications technology;
Are employed in a company registered abroad, for which they can work location-independently, or are self-employed offering services remotely for clients located abroad;

Key Requirements:

Minimum net monthly income of €3,500 (+20% for a spouse, +15% per dependent child)

Health insurance covering Cyprus

Proof of accommodation (rental agreement or property purchase)

Clean criminal record certificate from your country of origin and residence (if different)

What You Get:

✔️ 1-year residence permit, renewable for up to 2 more years

✔️ Family members (spouse & children) can join for the same period, but cannot work in Cyprus

✔️ Tax benefits if residing in Cyprus for over 183 days per year, provided you are not a tax resident in any other country

Important Considerations:

You cannot work for or provide services to Cypriot companies

Applications must be submitted within 3 months of arrival in Cyprus
